NBA Playoffs: Anthony Edwards
It happens every fifteen years or so when it comes to the NBA. The players you watched growing up are retiring and the young guns are letting the world know it’s their time; Anthony Edwards is doing a good job at letting everyone know it’s his time to shine. Beginning with USA Basketball Anthony Edwards's game has elevated to the next level. Being able to average 18.9 pts and 4.6 rebounds while playing for USA Basketball has had a significant impact on his NBA play this season. 25.9 points per game is a career-high for Edwards. He’s been able to elevate his game even more during playoff play. Sweeping the Phoneix Suns in the first round is an impressive accolade for your first playoff series win. There’s something to say when you are playing at an elite level all while averaging 33.4 points per game. The dominant play continues as Edwards led Minnesota to a game-one win over the defending champs Denver Nuggets last night. Ant pretty much did whatever he wanted with a total of 43 points; if there was an MVP award for the playoffs my vote would be for Edwards. The Timberwolves will look to win game 2 tomorrow night.
